I just love reading you blog, I look forward to it every week. I too love garage sales,usually going every friday, but the price of gas has put a little damper on it for awhile. I also went to the ones at the cottages, I got a bracelet made from silverware, now that’s recycling. I have a picnic basket like yours that I received from my grandparents years ago. I cherish it,but am afraid to use it, I’ve thought about putting varnish on it but I don’t want to ruin it. I’m going to have to take the WNY quilt trail, Partyka farms sounds great. Great dream! I love those strawberries so much. My husband calls me the “strawberry queen”. What a great way to find those treasures. Thanks for sharing your dreams and the adventures with the strawberries, ice cream and yard sales.

Well your knitting needles were bent into U’s and you went to a U pick farm. and the strawberries were deep red and the twin girls hair was red.

Hmmm…

I have weird dreams quite often myself. So I totally understand, I didn’t think it was really that weird of a dream.

I don’t even know who Catherine Bell is so maybe that is the weird part?

Strawberries look yummy and kudos on the yardsale finds!

I always knew you could not trust Catherine Bell! Seriously, I just checked her website and you two have some things in common. She was a tomboy, she paints, and she thinks her husband is amazing, too!
Your activities lately do sound heavenly. It’s so much fun to find wonderful things to do and see without spending lots of money. The adventure is the joy. Last summer was our trip to the East Coast, and we were somewhat near Partyka Farm and the Country Barn Quilt Trail. If I had discovered your blog before our trip, I’m sure I would have tried to convince my husband to take a little detour to visit that lovely part of the country.
I adore the pictures of your creative Christmas stockings and as usual, I admire your talent.

Don’t let anyone try to break your creative dream of publishing your patterns even if it is a movie star who has found her own dream come true. The strawberries are lovely in your artisan bowl from London. The date with your hubby at the u-pick is so romantic. What will you make with the rhubard from your friend? The picnic basket you found needs a lunch in it for another date with your sweetie!

Have you ever heard of hairpin crocheting? Its an old crochet technique taught by my mom to me. I was the only out of 5 girls who bothered to learn it and can’t find any patterns. My mom passed 5 years ago and I just got her things she left me (live far away from other family members). Do you know of anywhere I can find any patterns for it? Thanks,
