Gift Bag

Scrumptious Living … Itty Bits of Knitting
Small Knitted Drawstring Gift Bag

Firefly Small Knitted Drawstring Gift BagI made this drawstring gift bag as an experiment to see how large my Itty Bag pattern would come out if knitted with worsted weight yarn on size U.S. 8 dpns. I have this idea of making pairs of Knitty.com’s “Fetching” fingerless gloves for some loved ones as Christmas gifts, and presenting them in these small knitted gift bags. So, I was hoping the bag would be large enough to accomodate one pair of Fetching gloves, and it does.

This bag features picot edging at the top and little french knots on each picot point, as well as a knitted I-cord for the drawstring. You can find the pattern on my I Live on a Farm website or in my Etsy store, under “Three Farm Fresh Gift Bags”.
