Nice! Men like a manly hat, and they’re hard to find.

Firefly, would you mind awfully photgraphing the top of this lovely hat to show us what the crown should look like?
Thanks in advance!

Hey fellow Upstate NY’r –
This is the EXACT thing I want to make next. My SO commented when I was making my felted bag that he wanted me to make a hat. I’m gonna link this on my blog — if that’s okay with you — and I’ll post pics when I finish — maybe Tom will even wear it for a photo op!
Love your blog!
Thanks -
Tammy

Great hat – I love your site!

Gorgeous hat! Curious if you wouldn’t mind sharing what all the abbreviations mean? I’m a VERY BEGINNER knitter & haven’t a clue but would love some help. I really want to try to tackle this hat for someone I love very much. Thanks!

I’d love to knit this for my son-in-law — it’s the perfect pattern for him!. I have a ball of worsted weight wool, 85 gms, 197 yds. Will this be enough? It isn’t quite as much as the two balls of Suri Merino which you used. Thanks!

I wanted to let you know that I just completed this hat for my boyfriend! It is perfect! Thank you so much for taking the time to create and publish this pattern! It’s perfect!

Question – if I wanted to make this hat larger (My dad’s head is about 25-26 inches around) – how many stitches should I add, and should I increase needle size for worsted weight yarn?
Thanks!

I just finished the hat and it’s HUGE! It’s for a giant!! Not sure what made it turn out like this as I’m a new knitter… But it is BIG and BEAUTIFUL. Thanks

I loved this pattern! I am a beginner, and it turned out perfectly. I used a 80% acrylic, and 20% wool, as I wanted it to survive my son’s washing and drying it in his machines. But, I would wear this hat myself. Thank you so much. Aren’t son’s grand?

I have knit this hat for my son, twice. The first time I was wrapping the yarn in the wrong direction while knitting or purling so the hat came out too tight. The second time it came out perfect and is now his favorite. Thank you

Hi,
I have knitted this pattern, and now need to decrease. But I don’t understand the abbreviations! Can you please help.
Thanks
